Oats Bread Upma


  • Break the bread into small pieces.
  • Heat the Sunsolite oil in a non-stick kadai, add hing, jeera and mustard seeds. When the jeera changes colour and the mustard seeds begin to splutter, add the onion and saute for a few minutes till translucent.
  • Add the turmeric powder, salt and bread pieces, oats and mix well. Add the chilli powder and toss to mix. Sprinkle some water over the mixture and cook for two minutes.
  • Add the lime juice, green chillies and chopped fresh coriander. Toss well to mix and serve hot.


  • 6 multigrain bread slices
  • 40 gms masala oats
  • 2 tablespoons Sunsolite oil
  • A large pinch of hing
  • 1 teaspoon jeera
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 2 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 2 teaspoons lime juice
  • 4 green chillies, chopped
